Opening Day

Today was opening day for baseball season!  Yay! I'm a big St. Louis Cardinals fan, it literally runs in my blood.  When it's not blue that is.  And, happy to say, the Cards started the season off with a win against the Reds!  Going to Cardinal games at Busch Stadium is one of my most favorite things to do, the atmosphere on a warm Friday night or Saturday afternoon, there's nothing better.  Especially when the wave gets going!

I'm sad that I'll be moving farther away from St. Louis, one of my very favorite cities for many reasons, but I will be moving as close to Atlanta as I currently am from St. Louis.  I guess if I had to pick another team to cheer for, it would be the Braves.  But you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be cheering for the Cards in a stadium full of Braves fans when they play.  If you've never been to a ball game, you must put it on your bucket list, even if you're not that big of a fan, it's definitely an experience worth having.

Below I've put together a few of my fav looks to wear to a game, and I'm not big on wearing Victoria's Secret clothing, but the sequin hat...right up my alley...and I've seen some team tees I wouldn't mind wearing. (Just beware to not match your middle-school aged niece, cousin, get the picture.)

Style Sunday

My Wildcats are playing yet again this Sunday, so of course I wore blue and white to church services this morning. Go Cats! And I love the lavender with the cobalt (Kentucky) blue, a bit unexpected and totally sophisticated with the neutral white pant and leopard slippers.

I have not been a supporter of the whole ridiculous "YOLO" deal, encouraging people to do stupid and inappropriate things, as if this life on earth is all about enjoying yourself, forgetting the effect it will have on your eternal life... And yes, you do only live once, so live it right, don't waste it on stupid cheap and fleeting, sinful thrills and indulgences.

However, scrolling through Tumblr I came upon this. And this, I can get behind.

Especially if it's vanilla cake batter or cookie dough. I've been known to steal a spoonful or six. Oops. YOLO.

Friday Favorites

This Friday, I'm all about my Kentucky Wildcats! Playing one of our biggest, if not the biggest, rivals, Louisville.  I hope wearing all my blue and white and my lucky UK headband was enough! Join me in cheering on the Cats on to the Elite 8, I'll be super sad if we lose! Go Cats! Beat the cardinals!

We are UK!

It's March

First, these pictures were taken a while back during one of the big snows we had, but this morning, running late, looked out the back doors, and there was snow. All over everything. Awesome. Thankfully it was just a pretty snow, didn't stick to roads or anything, but yeah. It's March. The 25th. K weather. K. But anyway, although it was a cold, very windy day, it was all gone by the time school was over and warmer days are ahead! Thank goodness!

So in honor of this late March snow, I decided to share some more amazing photos from my shot with my lovely and very talented photographer friend Rachael Houser from Rachael Houser Photography! Enjoy!

Friday Favorites

This week, my Friday Favorite is my new favorite hat from Southern Proper! I'm so excited to have a new hat for this summer, and the coral color, perfect! And of course, everything looks better with Jack Rogers!

Everyone needs a cute hat (or 6) especially for those bad, second day, hair  days. Or just plain ole bad hair days.

I really love this hat because of the material, soft and durable.  Being well-made doesn't hurt either! I love the strap and embroidery on the back of the hat too, it really makes the hat perfect!

Shameless selfie, loving my new hat and, GO CATS!

Hello Spring

I feel like I've been waiting forever for Spring to get here, especially with the 2 weeks of snowpocalypse.  Personally, I'm totally over the cold weather. As much as I love my sweaters and boots, I'm ready for them to go bye for a while.  I'm beyond ready for chinos and patterned shorts, Lilly dresses, tanks, and tees.

So, today, in honor of Spring, I broke out one of my favorite and brightest Lilly dresses! Unfortunately it was still too cool to wear my beloved Jacks but hey, I'll be sad to put away my MK's.

LOVE the bows on this dress.

Weekend Recap {SEC Tournament}

So, I've been on a bit of a hiatus the last few days, but I ended up being completely spontaneous this last weekend and it was so crazy it took me a couple days to recover!

Thursday Jason calls me up and says, come to Atlanta. That's right. For the SEC Tournament (WHAT?!). Me being my uptight self said there's no way, blah blah, I don't have enough info about it blah blah. Long story short, about 2 hours later I said the words....we were heading to Atlanta!

So I left after school and we met Friday night at the hotel, which was awesome, as was getting to see Jason who I hadn't seen since Valentine's Day!

But enough of the boring, I'll let the weekend's pictures do the rest of the talking!

So, our hotel room was awesome. The wall of glass, perfect.

The view from the gym was amazing!

SEC Fan Fare!

Just one of the many decked out Kentucky Fans.

We met the Sonic commercial guys! They  were super nice and funny in person! I also don't know how they fit in that car ha.

All our passes and tickets, lookin' official!

One of our passes got us into the owner's club! The other pass was a different invite only club! We're both now totally spoiled.

Double fisting the food. It was so delicious and everything was free! (The two men in the background just happened to be recognized before the game as some of the top SEC players of all time. No big.)

Go Cats!

Even though we lost in the final, I at least got this guy in a Kentucky shirt and actually cheering for Kentucky!

It was such an amazing weekend, I'm so glad I finally did something totally spontaneous! Especially since this was literally a once in a lifetime, Jason won the tickets and passes package from work so everything (except the hotel) was FREE! Seriously doesn't get any better than that!
